WHITEHILL WINS GRANT FUNDING!!
Thanks to the efforts of the Chairman over the
last two months of 2007, the society has received
grants from the SMBC local area funds, greenspace
grant scheme and the National Lottery 'Awards for
All' scheme.
This is no mean feat given the amount of time and
effort it took and the paperwork involved as well
as the compilation / research into the content of
the actual submissions, in fact the total a
present stands at aproximately £7,700!!!
All these funds are to be put towards improving
the wildlife area and upgrading the
small 'classroom' building for the local schools
and community groups to use. All this over the
coming months of 2008.
This is an exciting time for the society and the
schemes will be photographed to record what goes
on and record progress throughout the project
duration.
