WHITEHILL WINS 'MOST IMPROVED SITE IN BOROUGH' AWARD The Society has proudly been awarded the accolade
of being voted 'Most improved in Borough' in the
2007 awards scheme run by the local council held
in conjunction with SMAGA (Stockport Metropolitan
Allotment Garden Association).
This is due to the efforts of the committee,
assisted by members of the allotment site
community (too many to mention individually) in
achieving projects such as improved drainage,
water supply roadways and facilities. The
development of the wildlife area with seating and
more ponds and many other things to numerous to
mention.
The overall appearance of the site has
dramatically improved over 2006- 2007 and this
must be working as there is a small but none-
the-less important waiting list for plots!
So on behalf of all the committee - a big THANKYOU.
John G.
